What will stimming or fidgeting look/sound/feel like when it is deliberately used as an artistic resource? “Stim Stim Stim” explores stimming (or fidgeting)—a self-regulation activity neurodivergent people do that is still generally considered taboo or prohibited—as performance. By zooming in and focusing on specific gestures, mostly happening through repetition, this work makes visible the natural human behaviors usually overlooked and deemed non-normative.
