Animation Workshop on 'SWIM' – die Suche nach Paradiesen for children (ages 9-12)

with bilderbewegen e.V., Jugend im Museum e.V.

9 Mar 25, 2.00–6.00 pm

Seeking, Creating, and Filming Paradise

Which (public) spaces leave room for dreaming? Dive into promising waters and explore new possibilities. In this animated film workshop, you will explore what it takes to create paradise. Your ideas and thoughts will be inspired by the exhibition SWIM and brought to life through moving images and small scenes.

SWIM is part of the series “swim, sweat, fight – the search for paradises”, exploring artificial paradises beyond everyday life—spaces, bodies, and politics of leisure at the Sport- und Erholungszentrum (SEZ) in Friedrichshain. The exhibition delves into the world of water and swimming, both in their spatial form and in their emotional significance for people: swimming, the experience of being in water with its weightlessness and fluidity, allows for diverse human practices and emotions; but it is also about forgetting and drifting away.

The workshop is designed for children aged approximately 9–12 years. Early registration is recommended at:
